Creative opportunities for disadvantaged and disabled people

Inspire offers opportunities for a great social life, exciting creative activities, useful skills, and boosted confidence.  Activities include:

Funky Club Nights - What a great night out! Disabled people flock to these events at the Junction in Cambridge, and occasionally elsewhere.  Live performances, super DJ’s, cool video projections – you can be on the big screen, too!

Funky Days - Weekly arts sessions led by professional artists and performers.  Currently Thursdays in Milton and Fridays in Cambridge, 10am – 3pm.  Groups in other towns planned.

Funky Film School - Young people are having a great time on alternate Saturdays 12-4pm at Inspire’s Studio at Milton.  You can use cameras, or be a presenter or actor, or do animation, or all three! The films can be entered for Inspire’s National Youth Disability Film Awards.

Rhythm & Moves - A delightful therapeutic session with Tai Chi based movement, and percussion, on Monday mornings 10-12, at Arbury Community Centre, Cambridge.

Total Arts - Performing arts are the main activity, on alternate Saturdays 12-4pm at the Junction, Cambridge.  These sessions are accessible for disabled young people 13-18 yrs old, including those with high support needs.

Green Team - If you like the great outdoors, you’ll love this group.  It offers accredited training and work on nature reserves, including conservation, horticulture, basic skills and willow-weaving, in partnership with Huntingdonshire Regional College.
